I work mainly in fabrics and textiles using multimedia. My fiber art work may be inspired by the subject, a person, the use, found objects or form.

Fabrics, papers, lino block prints, nature prints and all manner of embellishments are my materials. Sewing machines, cameras, printers, paints, and threads are my tools. My fabrics comes from many sources: old coffee and flour sacks, primed canvas, hand woven, dyed cloth, custom printed/created cloth, and commercially produced fabric. My art quilts and objects emerge from many creative crevices and muses. Sometimes it is a word or phrase. Other times it is the purpose that determines how the art piece will develop.

I make custom pieces for shows, special gifts for weddings, birthdays, celebrations, babies, etc. My desire is to bring both delight and beauty to form and function with thoughtful, customized art.

What is fiber art? Fiber art refers to fine art whose material consists of natural or synthetic fiber and other components, such as fabric or yarn and embellishments. It focuses on the materials and on the manual labor on the part of the artist as part of the works' significance, and prioritizes aesthetic value over utility. Art Quilts are for beauty and usually not for practical use.
